Meet The Author
Lura Gorman grew up in the Deep South of the United States. A writer from childhood, she created books for her younger siblings, full of watercolors and scraps of bark, pressed flowers, silk, and velvet, illustrating the dreamscape of childhood. As an adult, she worked for various newspapers in Boston, Des Plaines, Chicago, and Indianapolis. Twenty years ago she bought the fabled, defunct La Te Da in Key West, Florida, returning the world famous hot spot to its former glory. An inveterate traveler, she spent months in the former Soviet Union, then in Russia, and many European countries as well as Israel, Egypt, and Turkey, writing an endless travelogue of hundred of letters home to family and friends. She lives in Key West, Florida.
It's pure pleasure.
